This comes from a period of time where Brass Eagle actually made their markers out of brass. That said, I wouldn't necessarily say the build quality was any better than the later aluminum models. It took me years to finally come across this style of Ninja: brass-bodied with an angled feed for tubes. When I first received it there was no scope mount, which took a bit more hunting to locate. It is now set up the same way Brass Eagle themselves advertised it.
This one was purportedly used on the set of the show 'Lonesome Dove' as a special effects gun. It would fire 68 cal special effects rounds for creating sparks/smoke to simulate real rounds striking various surfaces.
